Morning Session (9am start)

Painting process defects will be explained, including orange peel and dry paint.
•
Scratch and swirl defects explained, including when to sand and when to polish.
•
Machine-only sanding, including material types and grades of sanding media, tool and orbit choices, followed by dry sanding methods.
•
Interactive, hands-on training with a pre-selected vehicle and test panels. Kelly will be helping you with the tools and methods explained.

Afternoon Session

Rotary and Dual action machine polishers explained. Orbit sizes and the physics behind paint correction.
•
Comparing polishing pads, the material used and which is suited to Rotary or DA.
•
Diminishing compounds, cut levels, all-in-one products and which compound is suitable for pad type. Finishing, refining and ultra refining explained.
•
Heavy paint defect removal methods, knowing when to sand and when to polish.
•
The important of wipe-down inspection, methods and lighting.
•
Selecting microfibre cloths, the different blends, use cases and towel care.
•
Interactive, hands-on training with a pre-selected vehicle and test panels. Kelly will be helping you with the tools and methods explained.
•
The day will end at 5PM.
•
Lunch, snacks and drinks will be supplied. Video and photos will be taken on the day for Social Media, you'll also have access to these for your own use.

The course will take place at the Clean + Shiny HQ in Aldershot, Hampshire.
